I slid down to decorah after dropping of my bottles and cans for redemption money. Deke and O'gara gave the Gemini tandem the thumbs up so I know it's getting closer for prime time. Afterwards I stumbled across a top-secret trail building session....i know you will enjoy the addition.

O'gara: Tires aren't big enough. The twister pros would be bitchin in a 2.3.

Woke up this morning still feeling a little tired from yesterdays workouts so I went down into the Gentleman's Lounge and came out with this gravel bike. I still need to get some flat bars and wider cross tires since I won't be getting anywhere after they grade the roads. Now I'm ready to go ride the gravels and it's raining. Sounds like I'll be putting the 10Punch Pass to use today.

The Fisher tandem project got its new front wheel and fork. Velocity Cliffhanger 32hole rim with paul word hub and wire/soldered spokes. The fork is a surly instigator fork. I tried a 29er wheel up front but am afraid it rides a little too high. Headset is a big cane creek dirt jumping model mounted in some 1-1/4 to 1-1/8 headset reducers. The avid mechanical disc break is tandem rated but I'm sure it's going to take a while to break in the pads and rotor for sufficient stopping. The rear wheel is going to be an eno eccentric hub also mated to the velocity rim. I've got to research which tires I can use....I should have enough clearance for any large high-volume tire.

Another Project...
This is my Gary Fisher Gemini tandem that I hope to have ridable by the end of the month.
Thank goes out to my dad for finding the frame on a garage sale in Indiana. With some help from Danno http://www.route66bicycles.com/ this weekend, I will have a surly instigator fork to handle the disk brake up front which is a necessary component of the mullet. This bike will bring me and my singlespeed tandem partner to a podium finish at chequamegon this year.

Quite a spell ago I ran my custom Cherry into the garage while still attached to the top of my car. For three years I've wanted to get it fixed and just now have found time to bring it back to its former glory. Iowa framebuilder Tom Teesdale will be handling the transformation . This time it will have some track ends on the rear and a 29" front wheel. A custom non-suspension corrected fork will handle the violence up front. Once again I will be rockin the mullet with this build. This frame should be a little more comfy than the trek 69er for AFD rides due to the longer geometry that Tom and I decided on. It might be here by the end of the month
